Short-stay Chinese guests need Mandarin-speaking staff and UnionPay signals before they walk across the village. Empty favorites also need a clear path back into the directories.
Directories that surface Mandarin and UnionPay before the counter
Restaurant and shop directories lead with China-friendly cues, open-now tabs, and category chips. Guests open a venue, save it with the heart, and see it on the dining favorites tab.

Implementation narrative
Dining and shops directories share search, all/open tabs, category chips, Mandarin and UnionPay badges, and an on-map affordance. Venue detail shows hours, cuisine, address, and phone before the heart is filled. After save, Favorites → dining lists the card with the same on-map jump.
Map filters include dining and shops on the shared resort map, so directory and basemap stay one system.
